This briefing note is part of the Secure Access in Volatile Environments (SAVE) research project funded by UK-DFID. In places where access is constrained due to insecurity, Third Party Monitoring (TPM) has become the method of choice for an increasing number of aid agencies and donors.
Supported by the RMU, this report contains lessons of TPMs from Afghanistan and Somalia and includes strengths, constraints and risks of TPMs.
